Metropolitan Community Development Corporation (MCDC) was founded as a US, faith-based not-for-profit organization. Our story began in 1996 when we started operations in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. We were inspired to help integrate displaced immigrants and underserved populations. MCDC was conceived and sponsored by Bethel World Outreach Church.
Nobody prays for life-changing emergencies such as pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest. However, when they occur, we should all join hands to provide relief especially to the most vulnerable in our midst.
Today, through a strong partnership with our parent organization, Bethel World Outreach Church, The Found Man Foundation, the state of Maryland, and civil societies, we provide skills training, education and social services from our current location in Olney Maryland.
